Since 1 October 2024, I have been travelling indefinitely – initially through Europe. Together with Lenin and my Iveco, I’m exploring the most exciting places, capturing their magic with my drone and sharing it with the world. Sometimes mystical, sometimes epic – but always unique.

Welcome to BayerYogi – How It All Began: The First Steps
It all started with an e-bike, countless forest trails and my faithful Jack Russell Terrier ‘Jack’. As a Bavarian yogi, I roamed the deep forests of the Spessart, explored every path and, after two years, knew the region like the back of my hand. But over time, Jack got old. Our adventures became shorter, our paths more familiar – until finally we only went on short tours. It was also the time when corona was being played up so excessively, which also slowed down my energy.

The Longing Grew
After Jack’s death, I felt the longing for nature more strongly than ever before. This time, however, I no longer wanted to drive around aimlessly, but to search specifically for the most beautiful and mysterious places. I began to compile a list of all the nature reserves in Germany – with the aim of capturing their magical beauty.
And the List of Natural Treasures Grew and Grew
This list quickly grew beyond Germany’s borders. Soon I wanted to discover the natural treasures of the whole of Europe. I called the project ‘ScavengerHunt’ because it felt like a giant scavenger hunt: I collected breathtaking landscape shots and presented them in the form of slideshows. But then came the moment that changed everything.
‘Slideshows Are Out – We Need a Drone!’
I proudly showed my first slideshow to my mate Michi, who was supposed to compose the music to go with it. But instead of enthusiasm, I got a tough message:
‘Slideshows are out. No pictures – videos with a drone are required!’
I resisted the idea at first, but at some point I capitulated. I bought my first drone – and that changed everything.
Welcome to all my companions – A new dog, a new car, a new plan
My sister was convinced that I needed a new companion. That’s how Lenin came into my life – a dog from an animal shelter who immediately grew close to my heart.
Soon I had ticked off all the nature reserves in my area. But now the next question arose: how could I extend my travels without ruining myself financially? A classic motorhome was too expensive and impractical for my purposes. So I got myself a discarded post van – an Iveco Daily – and had it converted.
The most important thing? Enough space for yoga on cold days and a self-sufficient power supply for image processing. 15,000 later, my home on four wheels was ready to go.
Welcome to Kalles Fancy Travelling – His Birth
When I had been travelling for a while, I realised that not everyone just wants to see forests and green landscapes. I had to make my content more varied. The idea? Instead of just documenting nature reserves, I capture the most spectacular cultural and scenic highlights – with my drone, from unique perspectives.
But there was still a long way to go. I was already in Tuscany by the time my project was fully finalised.
This is how ‘ScavengerHunt’ finally became ‘Kalle’s Fancy Travelling’ – an adventure that will stay with me for life.
