🧭 Collected treasures – a photographic journey through Europe

🌈 My approach: atmosphere instead of to-do lists

If you browse through my collected treasures, you won’t find an ordinary travel site. This is not about checklists or top 10 tips, but a growing archive of authentic images that capture the atmosphere of entire regions. Each gallery is a moment of my journey, each picture tells its own story. The current focus is on Italy – but Germany and Austria are already represented and will be expanded in the future.

❤️ Italy – the heartbeat of my journey

Italy was the centrepiece of my first long journey through Europe. Coming from Austria, my route led me through Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany and on to the south – to Lazio, Campania, Calabria, Basilicata, Apulia, Molise and finally to Abruzzo.

But it was only from Lazio onwards that I found a clear structure: I began to specifically record the highlights of each region – cultural as well as scenic treasures, which I gradually present in picture galleries. These are precisely my ‘collected treasures’.

While the regions from Lazio onwards are already well documented, I will also complete the earlier stages – such as Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto and Tuscany – on my return journey. The flood of pictures is enormous and I am only slowly getting round to viewing everything and integrating it into galleries. That’s why many highlights are currently only listed chronologically, without a finished gallery. But a new one is added almost every day.

My current focus is on completing the Lazio region – with impressive images from the city, nature and history.

🏁 Germany & Austria – The Prelude Before Italy

The federal states of Lower Franconia, Swabia and Baden-Württemberg in Germany as well as Vorarlberg in Austria were stops on my way south. Back then, I still had a different goal in mind: atmospheric nature shots.

It was only on the way that my concept changed – towards a collection of regional highlights. That’s exactly what my photo galleries are all about today. But don’t worry: Lower Franconia, Swabia, Baden-Württemberg and Vorarlberg will also have their highlights added in due course. I’m already looking forward to revisiting these regions with new eyes.

🛒 Buy pictures – now also on Wirestock

Some of my collected treasures are also available for purchase: I have already published a first gallery on Wirestock – and more will follow gradually. If you are interested in certain motifs, please get in touch with me. On request, I will upload selected images to Wirestock – including licence release for commercial use.
